COPY-Police: Man arrested for assaults near UW-Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) - Oshkosh police have arrested one of two men who they say committed robberies and assaults near the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus.
Police said Monday a 19-year-old Oshkosh man was arrested Sunday after punching a victim. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery, battery and illegally carrying a concealed weapon. He is in the Winnebago County Jail pending charges related to the Sunday incident and one on Oct. 20.
Police say the victim didn't require medical attention. He says he hadn't seen the suspect before.
Police say a second suspect involved in the Sunday attack and at least two other incidents has not been found. University administrators are urging students to travel in groups after at least five assaults and robberies in the last month.
