Jeff Johnson stops in Rochester for Gubernatorial push
ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- -
Election day is fast approaching, and candidates are putting in their last pushes to get out the vote. On Saturday, Gubernatorial candidate Jeff Johnson made a stop in Rochester to encourage supporters.
For about an hour the republican candidate made calls in support of his campaign and the rest of his republican constituents. The stop is part of a southern Minnesota swing that began in Winona earlier today and continued on to Mankato. Johnson comes from greater Minnesota, and says it is important to remember that there are key issues outside of the twin cities.
"This truly is the fun part of the campaign where really all your doing is getting out, and for sixteen to eighteen hours a day I'm introducing myself to voters and answering their questions, and sharing a vision of a better state than what we have now. The response has been tremendous," says Johnson.
He and Governor Mark Dayton will go head to head on Tuesday when voters hit the polls.
