Work is underway for the 33rd Annual La Crosse Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
Coordinators are asking you to take advantage of online volunteer registration.
The site, www.lacrossethanksgivingdinner.com went live on Tuesday.
They're looking for 515 volunteers needed to make the dinner go.
Families can prepare food, help in the serving line, make arts and crafts with the kids or help deliver meals to families.
Volunteer coordinator, Teri Serres wants you to consider one more volunteer opportunity. "Well this year we are looking for a volunteer to help in the kitchen area, to supervise. So we are looking for some one that has banquet experience or maybe a chef in the area that could lend us a hand," Serres explained. "Our old kitchen chairperson who has helped for several years, had decided to retire last year so we just need a helping hand there."
If you have any banquet experience and could be a help in the kitchen or if you would like to volunteer in another area, contact Serres at firstname.lastname@example.org
Doors open at 10:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. A worship service is at 10:30 a.m. and meals are served from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you can't make in on Thanksgiving, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities Tuesday and Wednesday.
