Gasser provides inspiration for Badgers

Madison, WI (WKOW) - - The sixth ranked Badger men's basketball team has played inspired since that debacle at Rutgers. The senior leadership has made sure to avoid a mid season letdown like last season.

One of the motivational leaders has been Josh Gasser.

He only scored six points Tuesday night against Iowa.

But he showed his toughness.

After suffering a shoulder injury and heading to the locker room, he returned to the contest.

The senior felt he had to return after giving an impassioned halftime speech to his teammates to finally play a full 40 minutes of good basketball.

"Even if we're winning at halftime, you want to complete it. You want to play a full 40 minutes. There's going to be games where those shots aren't going in the first half like they were tonight. You have to learn how to play a full 40 minutes. I think we did that," Gasser said

"Josh is Captain America. Josh is the hero of our team. Josh is the best. I love Josh. Go Josh. Team Josh. Hashtag Team Josh," said center Frank Kaminsky.

Next up for Wisconsin is a trip to Michigan on Saturday.
