One of the two men who walked away from the Black River Falls Correctional Institute in 2012 is sentenced to prison.
James Misleveck is convicted of three felonies including kidnapping and stealing.
Misleveck and James Newman escaped from Black River Falls Correctional Center on July 18, 2012. Once out, the pair kidnapped a woman in Black River Falls, held her hostage for hours before releasing her and fleeing to Florida.
In Hillsborough County, Florida, Newman and Misleveck robbed a convenience store and beat an elderly clerk.
The men were captured after a high speed chase in Broward County, Florida.
Wednesday in Jackson County, Misleveck was sentenced to 35 years in prison and 21 years of extended supervision.
Newman's charges are still pending.
