Lincoln, NE (WXOW) The Badgers are continuing their best start in program history.
Tuesday night's win at Nebraska raised their record to 22-2 overall, 10-1 in the Big Ten.
Wisconsin certainly didn't add any style points.
Tuesday night's win was a good old fashioned grind-it-out type, sort of an old school Big Ten game where the refs swallowed the whistles.
But there were some artistic moments, if you like free throws.
When the Cornhuskers cut the Badgers lead to 5 with a minute left. But the Badgers were able to to put it away from the free throw line, where they made 24 of 31 attempts for the game.
" We think we had a little bit to do with their shooting percentage. They had something to do with our shooting percentage. But, fortunately,m when a team is playing from behind they foul. We went to the free throw line and made a good number. That's the only way you're going to close one of those out," said Badgers head coach Bo Ryan.
Wisconsin will host Illinois on Sunday.
