After a fight with those pesky owls, the race to the first egg belongs to the Decorah eagles.
According to the Raptor Resource Project, the first egg was laid Wednesday at about 6:07 p.m. CST.
The eagles laid three eggs last year, and most likely aren't done after just one this year.
