Caledonia boys closing in on another possible trip to State

Caledonia, MN (WXOW) The Caledonia boys basketball team is just two wins away from heading back to the Minnesota State Tournament.

They took down Chatfield Monday night by 12 points in Rochester in a Section 1AA playoff.

The Warriors are ranked 3rd in the state in Class 2A and they know they are a favorite to return.

"When we push the tempo and we can press and force turnovers and we can score points off turnovers, it helps us out a lot," said junior Colton Lampert.

"We've played ranked teams this year. We play a lot of good competition in the summer, all the good teams in La Crosse. These guys have played in a lot of big games. So the pressure is not always there," said head coach Josh Dierson.

Caledonia will play St. Charles in Rochester Saturday at 2 PM for the Section 1AA East Division title.
