The Holmen couple accused of child abuse in the death of a three year old, are headed for trial.

30-year-old Dylan Bartsh and his girlfriend, 24-year-old Jaymie Rundle, are accused of Bartsh's daughters death in October, three days after the girl suffered a seizure.

An autopsy showed the toddler had suffered numerous injuries and she was also severely malnourished and dehydrated.

Wednesday in La Crosse County Circuit Court, Holmen Police Investigator Crystal Sedevie testified that both Bartsh and Rundle denied knowing where the child's injuries came from.

"Dylan told us several times that he would see marks and injuries on her and that concerned him that possibly Jaymie had caused them. He said he would confront her about it and she would deny it saying she didn't know how she got the marks or possibly that she had inflicted them on herself," said Sedevie in her testimony.

At the end of Wednesday's hearing, Judge Elliot Levine found enough evidence against Bartsh and Rundle for a trial.

Online court records show Rundle is out of jail on a $2,500 cash bond while Bartsh remains in the La Crosse County Jail also on a $2,500 cash bond.
