Annandale High School beat Caledonia in the state semifinals a season ago. They meet again this season one round sooner.
Caledonia is doing its homework to prevent another earlier-than-hoped exit.
"They have Chase Knickerbocker back he's a six-six wingman/guard," head coach Josh Diersen said. "He can go inside out. He's probably going to put it up thirty times a game at least, and he averages about 27 points a game. We got to try to limit his easy looks."
Senior Kyle Sorenson said he expects Annandale to shoot early and often. He also remembers the disappointment from last season's defeat.
"It does mean something. They ended our season last year, well not ended, but it would mean a lot to get a win against them," Sorenson said. "I think they are going to compete, they're obviously a state team so they're going to be good."
Game time is set for 6 p.m. at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.
