Badgers are No. 1 in NCAA West Region, Arizona No. 2
Wisconsin is the No. 1 seed in a tough West Region of the NCAA Tournament.
The Big Ten champion Badgers (31-3) earned the top seed and will face Coastal Carolina in their opener in Omaha.
The rest of the West will be a gauntlet of strong teams: Arizona, Baylor, North Carolina and Arkansas. It also includes some good teams in the middle seeds, including Xavier, Virginia Commonwealth, Oregon and Oklahoma State.
Arizona (31-3), the Pac-12 regular-season and tournament champion, will open against Texas Southern in Portland, Oregon.
The West Region sets up a potential rematch of last year's Elite Eight between Wisconsin and Arizona, which the Badgers won in a tight game to earn a spot in the Final Four.
The West Region concludes March 28 in Los Angeles.
