Lohse named Brewers' Opening Day starter

Posted: Updated:
Ron Roenicke will put the ball in Kyle Lohse's glove to start the 2015 Major League Baseball season. The Brewers manager named Lohse the Opening Day starter for Milwaukee over the weekend. Lohse went 13-9 with a 3.54 ERA in 31 starts last season for the team.

"It's a good honor to be named that," Lohse said. "Once you get going, it's every five days and everybody's all equal. It's still going to be fun to get out there and be the first one out. You just go out and try to set the tone for the season or the rotation anyway."

Milwaukee hosts Colorado on April 6 at Miller Park.
