Omaha, NE (WXOW) -- The road to Indianapolis and an NCAA Championship begins in Omaha for the Wisconsin basketball team. The Badgers arrived at their first round site Wednesday afternoon.
The top-seeded Badgers touched down at Eppley Airfield, then headed to their hotel for the evening. The team will practice Thursday afternoon, before facing the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Friday night at 8:20 p.m. Until then, the team will enjoy a little downtime before the madness begins.
"I mean we've got nothing to do tonight. We already practiced today back in Madison so we get tonight to just chill and hang out. It's fun though, we brought some video games so we'll stay busy. I think the first time we walk into the gym, see the NCAA logo in the middle of the court, the home court-advantage, that's when it kind of starts to sink in and you realize that your in March Madness, you're in tournament time. But it's an exciting feeling. It's a fun time of the year," says senior guard Josh Gasser.
