Traevon Jackson lost his starting job at Wisconsin. But the senior is grateful to get a chance to return to the Final Four with the Badgers.
A right foot injury in January derailed what been a solid season for coach Bo Ryan's trusted point guard.
While Jackson focused on rehab, sophomore Bronson Koenig stepped in as the starter. Koenig has played well, and Jackson has helped mentor his replacement.
Jackson finally returned last weekend, coming off the bench in victories over North Carolina and Arizona. He hit the first shot he took, a 3-pointer against the Tar Heels.
Jackson says his new role has been an adjustment after starting since early in his sophomore season. Teammates say Jackson has been supportive through the entire process.
