The city of Onalaska announced it's plans for a new summer festival on Thursday.
The event, called Celebrate Onalaska, will take place over a three day stretch.
The partnership with Festival Foods will bring music, food, fireworks and a softball tournament.
"For us to celebrate who we are and what a great city we live in. We just want to go out and have a party near the 4th of July that celebrates life in Onalaska," Onalaska Mayor Joe Chilsen said.
The event will take the place of the annual Salute to the Fourth celebration.
"With us pulling together with other community members I really think this event will go above and beyond what it was in the past. Hopefully it will make a big splash and get families to come out and sped the whole weekend with us celebrating the Onalaska community," Kelly Poppele, public relations specialist for Festival Foods said.
Celebrate Onalaska will run from Friday June 26 through Sunday the 28 .
