For many Christians in the community, Good Friday is an opportunity to celebrate their faith.
A silent prayer walk is an annual tradition for the Franciscan Spirituality Center.
The group stops at different locations along the two mile walk through La Crosse.
Along the way there is prayer and song.
"For me this is a day where I just try to remember why I'm here and what I am about and that called into that same love that Jesus had for all the people in his life. So it's a day of remembering for me," Barb Kruse, the spiritual director to the Franciscan Spirituality Center said.
The walk is open to the public and not specific for Catholics.
All denominations are welcome to join.
