The Coulee Region Chill are getting ready to lace up those skates a little tighter.
First round of the Robertson Cup playoffs start Friday.
The Chill will play a best of five series against the Minnesota Wilderness.
The first two games will be played in Cloquet, Minnesota.
The Chill were just 1 and 7 against the Wilderness in eight penalty-filled games during the regular season.
The Chill knows they're going to have to crank it up if they're going to turn things around.
"Those past two games we didn't put the emotions aside and we got sucked in to their level. Sometimes that kind of stuff happens. It's going to be a war against those guys. We're both hard-nosed teams," said Adam Lovick, who leads the Chill with 66 points this season.
"I don't think we'll see the same amount of penalty minutes. I would expect to see the same type of hockey though. Playoffs is a little bit of a different story. Everybody finds a way to go a little bit harder, a little more physical. Up there (Cloquet) on the big sheet it's a little bit different of a game than it is here too. They came at us hard this past weekend and I would expect nothing different out of this series," said Chill head coach A.J. Degenhardt.
The first two games of the series are in Cloquet.
Game three will be next week Friday at Green Island.
