Micah Hyde, Casey Hayward poised for starting roles on defense

The Packers' tailgate tour around the state of Wisconsin has the team in the spotlight once again. It's only fitting Micah Hyde and Casey Hayward are part of the action this week, as they are in line for potentially larger roles on defense this season.

After Tramon Williams and Davon House departed Green Bay for other teams through free agency earlier this offseason, questions have been raised about who will fill their roles in the defensive backfield. Hyde for the moment is staying loose, and keeping his mind open about the possible roles he could play.

"I feel like I can play wherever coach puts me. Those two key departures, great guys on the field, even better guys off the field, sad to see them go," he said of Williams and House. "That's the business of the NFL and that's how we got to approach going into next season."

Hyde and Hayward are on the road for the tour throughout the remainder of the week. They will stop in Prairie du Chien Wednesday.
