The Packers are bringing Matt Blanchard back to Wisconsin. The former UW-Whitewater quarterback has signed with Green Bay, according to his agent Paul Sheehy.
Blanchard led the Warhawks to three National Championships before beginning his NFL career as an undrafted rookie with the Bears in 2012. After spending some time on Chicago's practice squad, he joined the Carolina Panthers. He spent parts of the past two seasons with Carolina before suffering a concussion last preseason that ultimately ended his season.
The 26-year old will join the Packers as the third-string quarterback behind Aaron Rodgers and Scott Tolzien.
