Onalaska, WI (WXOW) It's not just tax day across America.
Wednesday is the spring national signing day for many high school athletes hoping to play at the next level.
Two of them did just that in Onalaska.
Golfer Bennett Hutson singed a letter of intent to play at UW-Green Bay on scholarship.
Hutson was all-state first team last spring and took second in division one at the WIAA state meet.
"Once I went to Green Bay and visited Green bay it just felt like a very good fit for me, both golf-wise and academically. It's a place where I can be challenged and still play at the division one level, which was a dream of mine," Hutson said.
Also, Asher Freybler signed with Minnesota State-Mankato to play baseball.
Freybler is a four-year varsity player for the Hilltoppers and an All-MVC 2nd team selection last spring.
"It is a goof fit for me, both Athleticallyy and academically. I know I'll get a great education going there with aviation as his major. Athleticall also, I know I'll be pushed as an athlete," Freybler said.
Both are completing their senior year of competition this spring.
