Area teens got a quick lesson on money management Sunday.
Altra Federal Credit Union held its 5th annual Teens and Money Seminar.
The free event is a chance to focus on budgeting and basic personal finance.
"It's something they're going to have to face every single day, whether it's now, 5 years from now, 10 years from now," Danielle Anderson, the youth coordinator for the program said.
Thirty-seven teens were at the event.
"It's going to be something that is always going to affect them and having an important budget, following something will allow them to save for their future," she said.
There were two separate breakout groups. One focused on budgeting, the other personal finances when it comes to living on your own.
