Whitewater, WI (WXOW) -

The UW-La Crosse baseball team will not play in the WIAC Tournament championship for the first time in four years.

They were eliminated with losses to UW-Stevens Point and UW-Oshkosh Friday in Whitewater.

The Eagles lost to UW-Stevens Point 2-0 in the first round.

Pointers ace Mitch Beau tossed a three-hit shutout.

Then UW-Oshkosh eliminated the Eagles with an 11-4 outcome.

The Eagles committed five errors which led to 6 unearned runs.

The Titans scored 6 times in the 8th inning to blow the game open.

Ben Morgan and Bryce Barsness each had two-run home runs for UW-L.

The Eagles are 28-12 and are hoping they will receive a bid and at-large bid to the NCAA Div. III Championship.
