UW-La Crosse drilled St. Scholastica for six runs in the 8th inning to turn a close game into a route.
The Eagles beat the Saints 10-3 in an opening round game of the NCAA Div. III Midwest Regionals at Copeland Park.
It was just a one-run game entering the bottom of the 8th when Justin Anderson and Bryce Barsness drove in two runs each to lead the offensive explosion.
Barsness finished with two hits and two runs batted in.
Ben Morgan had three hits, including a home run.
Joe Miller was the winning pitcher for the Eagles, who will play Washington University of St. Louis Thursday evening at 7:45 at Copeland Park.
