The names of the people involved in a fatal Wisconsin crash Sunday have been released.
Bridget A. Achenbach, 19, of Eastman, Wisconsin, was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash just after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Kenneth H. Eppers, 85, of Tomah, Wisconsin, was taken to Crossing Rivers Health Care where he later died of his injuries.
His passenger, Genevieve M. Eppers, 85, also of Tomah, remains in critical condition, according to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office.
A 19-year-old woman and an 85-year-old man were killed in a two car accident in Crawford County, Wisconsin, on Sunday afternoon.
It happened just after 2 p.m. near Messler Lane in Eastman Township.
A 2008 Chevy Impala driven by the 19-year-old was heading southbound when it hydroplaned on the wet pavement and spun into the northbound lane. It hit a 2013 Chevy Cruze in the rear. The Cruze was driven by the 85-year-old man from Tomah.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Crawford County Coroner. The man and his 85-year-old wife had to be released from their vehicle using the Jaws of Life.
Both were sent to a nearby hospital where the driver died from his injuries. The Tomah woman was sent to a hospital in La Crosse where she remains in critical condition.
The Wisconsin State Patrol was called to reconstruct the accident. The highway was closed for over three hours.
