Adrian Peterson took to Twitter on Thursday to express his frustration over criticism he is receiving while staying away from the voluntary portion of the Minnesota Vikings offseason.
Peterson has come under fire after saying he wanted a long-term commitment from the team after missing most of last season while addressing a child abuse charge. He has three years and $46 million left on his deal, but none of that is guaranteed.
Peterson says he knows "hundreds of players" that wished the team would have honored their contracts as he is being asked to do.
Coach Mike Zimmer said on Wednesday that Peterson has two choices: he can either play for the Vikings next season or not play at all.
