The learning curve is much steeper for Isaac Fruechte.
The Caledonia native earned his way onto the Vikings roster with an impressive showing at rookie camp.
Now he's in with the veterans this week with the start of organized team activities in Eden Prairie.
The excitement of earning an opportunity with the Vikings is still there, but there's work to do.
"I really don't know how to describe it. It's a lot of fun. It's just nice to be out here. I've already said it's the best job I've ever had. It's a lot of fun. I hope it can be my career," Fruechte said after practice Wednesday.
Fruechte is only a couple of days into his first OTA's and it didn't take long for him to notice the difference between this and the rookie camp three weeks ago.
"Honestly, there's a lot more learning, a bigger playbook and interacting with all the veterans. But they've been great. It's a lot of fun to work with them. Everybody is very nice and treats you great."
