For Green Bay Packers fans, Aaron Rodgers is seen as the holy light that will lead the Packers to glory. But behind him are two other glimmering stars, who hope to follow in his footsteps on their way to their Super Bowl dreams. Scott Tolzien is one of those guys.
"It's an awesome benefit because he's the best player on the planet. To observe him everyday that's the best coaching you can get. "
Tolzien has the best seat in the house when it comes to learning the ways of a quarterback great. As the new number two guy behind Rodgers, he is just one snap away from taking over the reins of the Pack.
"I think you're gonna do yourself the best if you concern yourself with getting better each day in all facets. So that's what I'm focused on."
But there are others clipping at his heels including former U-W Whitewater all-star Matthew Blanchard. The Warhawk bounced around a few teams before landing in Green Bay, and hopes to make this a permanent home.
"It's just that one day at a time mentally, can't look too far ahead but also gotta take the good days and roll with it."
Then there's 5th round draft pick Brett Hundley. The former Bruin is away in Los Angeles for the first part of OTA's, but his presence is felt, especially by Blanchard.
"Most teams bring in four quarterbacks so you know it's competition between Brett and I, Scott and I. And that's just gonna come with time. And that's something that's earned."
