Five of these titleholders have close ties with UW-La Crosse. Miss River City-Christa Brehm, Miss Onalaska-April Haldeman and Miss Sparta-Zoe Roou are all current students at UW-La Crosse. Whereas Miss Seven Rivers-Sarah Newton and Miss Madison-Capital City-Tianna Vanderhei are recent December 2014 and May 2015 graduates from the university.
The show also featured four local title holders vying for the chance to serve as Miss Wisconsin's Outstanding Teen. The ladies are pictured in the front row and from right to left include: Miss Coulee Region's Outstanding Teen-Amber Wuensch, Miss Onalaska's Outstanding Teen-Hannah Johnson, Miss Seven Rivers Outstanding Teen-Faith Tanke, and Miss River City's Outstanding Teen-Jordenne Butler.
This sneak peak into the Miss Wisconsin pageant allowed contestants to walk through their phases of competition.
The phases included: interview, swimsuit (lifestyle and fitness in active wear for the Teen contestants), talent, and evening gown. Each representative had the opportunity to practice mock interviews with panels of community members in order to help prepare them for their private interview with the official judges.
Miss Wisconsin week officially begins on Monday, June 15th with rehearsals, appearances, events, and preliminary competitions taking place throughout the week.
The Miss Wisconsin's Outstanding Teen pageant will take place at Alberta-Kimball Auditorium at Oshkosh West High School in Oshkosh on Friday, June 19th.
The Miss Wisconsin pageant will follow on Saturday, June 20th with preliminary competition beginning earlier in the week. Best of luck to all of the contestants.
