Banner day for La Crosse area athletes at WIAA State Track

 LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW)  The 2015 WIAA State Track and Field Meet wrapped up Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex and it was a banner day for many athletes from the La Crosse area.

Five area competitors won individual state titles and six others had second place finishes. 

Here are some of the highlights:

-Holmen senior Danielle Kohlwey was a double state champ, winning the division one 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles.

-Logan's Aric Elmore won the division one triple jump with a leap of 46 feet, 7 inches. 

-West Salem's Brett Thompson won the division two high jump clearing 6 feet, 6 inches.

-G-E-T's Annaleese Lamke won the division two discus with a toss of 140 feet, 4 inches.

-Arcadia's Jim Hoesley won the division two 300 hurdles to go with a 4th place finish in the 100 and 3rd in the 200. 

-Cashton's Betsy Schreier won the division three triple jump for the 3rd year in a row.

-Onalaska's Austin Glynn took 2nd in the discus in division one. 

-Aquinas' Pam Fuchsel took 2nd in the 300 hurdles in division 2.

-Westby's Linse Wilbur took second in the pole vault in division 2.

-Onalaska Luther's Isabelle Kick took 2nd in the division 3 100 hurdles.
