Russell Wilson is four years removed from that brilliant 2011 season he put together in his one and only year at the University of Wisconsin.
It's a season that has a special place in Wilson's heart.
Which is one reason why the Seattle Seahawks quarterback comes back to Madison each year to hold his Russell Wilson Passing Academy.
Over 300 kids took part at Camp Randall Stadium Saturday.
Once back on campus it doesn't take long to conjure up some fine memories.
"The spirit and the energy and all that, it feels like I've been here a lifetime. I can remember everything like it was yesterday. I remember when I had my first meeting here when I came here. I came here June 9, 2011. That was the same day my dad passed away the year before, June 9, 2010. All this has an amazing relationship to everything," Wilson said.
Wilson and the Seahawks are in the middle of a major contract negotiation.
