There should be plenty of fireworks the night before the 4th of July at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.
The track will host the Star Spangled Spectacular Friday night, July 3.
It's an impressive line-up which will feature racing in several divisions, some of which you won't see on a regular Saturday night of racing.
When it comes to talent, it's an event that rivals the Oktoberfest races, the biggest event of the season.
"It's going to be something new for us, something new for the fans. We're going to have the Tundra Super Late Models. It's a group of guys that have Super Late Model-type cars. They're real fast and loud and they're like what fans might see at Oktoberfest. In addition, to that we'll have the Great Northern Sportsman Series, which is a lot like our Sportsman class," said Dave Noelke, the Speedway's Director of Marketing and Promotions.
The first race starts at 7:30 PM Friday with a fireworks display to follow at the end of the night.
