UW-La Crosse released parking details for all those who will be visiting campus on Thursday, July 2, for the president's visit.
Interim Chief of Police at UW-La Crosse, Scott McCullough says the south entrances to campus along Main and/or State streets will be the most convenient during the day.
Traffic along La Crosse Street will be affected in relation to normal traffic routes including detours and delays.
The main entrance to the event will be on the south side of the Recreational Eagle Center on Badger Street.
University parking lots are open to the public free of charge on Thursday.
General parking can be found in lots numbered C-1, C-2, C-3, C-8, C-9, C-10, C-11, and R-1.These lots will provide those in attendance with optimal convenience to the REC while avoiding delays.
"They should park in any of the lots south of Badger Street. Those include the Cowley lot which is C-3. They include C-2 and C-11 which are by Mitchell Hall on the north side. C-8 and C-9 are on the south side of Mitchell by the pool. C-1 is across from Main Hall and Cartwright Center. C-10 is over by the Center for the Arts. R-1 is over on the west side of campus by the residence hall, excuse me, Angell Residence Hall," says McCullough.
