West Salem, WI (WXOW) -

Skylar Holzhausen won his heat race and then the TUNDRA Super Late Models feature Friday night to highlight a star-spangled night at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.

The Bangor racer edged pole-sitter Jim Sauter Jr. and Michael Sauter in the 40-lap feature, part of the Star Spangled Spectacular event that marks the 4th of July holiday each summer in West Salem. This was the first year the races were held on a Friday.

Dan Lensing won the fast dash, and Jeremy Lepak and Paige Decker won qualifying races earlier in the evening. Holzhausen won the third heat race.

The Great Northern Sportsmen Series, Auto Value Thunderstox, and Mountain Dew Outlawz were also in action Friday. Jason Thoma, Jimmy Gilster and Ted Reuvers won GNSS heat races, Nathan White won the Thunderstox feature race and Jason Stark won the Outlawz feature.

Saturday night racing returns Saturday, July 11.
