Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Letroy Guion has been suspended for the first three games of the season, according to ESPN.com's Rob Demovsky.
Guion was arrested during the off season for having marijuana and a gun during a traffic stop. He paid $5,000 in a plea deal to avoid prosecution.
Guion was notified of the three-game ban this week, according to Demovsky, and has already begun the appeal process.
ESPN reports if the suspension is not reduced, Guion will lose close to a half-million dollars.
The Packers resigned Guion to a one-year $2.75 million contract shortly after the case was settled in March.
