A seminar Wednesday in La Crosse helped businesses adjust to changing rules and information regarding employee benefits.
The Insurance Center hosted the forum featuring guest speakers on a variety of topics.
Those topics included employee servant leadership, new health regulations, and wellness programs.
Kate Elliott, Program Manager, Wellness Council of Wisconsin, said more employers are implementing wellness programs into the workplace.
"One thing that we're seeing is that wellness programs in the past have focused on nutrition and physical activity, more of those physical aspects of health. We're seeing there's more of a shift towards a holistic view of wellness. Where people are focusing on things like emotional well-being, financial wellness, and really looking at the employee as a whole and how they can improve that satisfaction level," said .
More than 170 local businesses attending the event helping them to gain new insight on how to create happy, healthy work environments.
