Caledonia's Isaac Fruechte has roughly five weeks to show he is worth keeping on the Minnesota Vikings roster.
The rookie receiver is three days into training camp with his home state team.
WXOW News 19's Caroline Hecker caught with Fruechte after practice Wednesday.
Here's part of their conversation:
Caroline Hecker: Isaac, tell us a little bit about how training camp has gone so far this week.
Isaac Fruechte: "Well you know I think it's been alright, learning a lot, trying to get up to speed, whether that's special teams or whatever the team may need.and earn a spot.
Hecker: And how do you mentally prepare everyday before you head out onto the field?
Fruechte "I think it's kind of envisioning stuff at night before you go to bed and when you wake up. You know we got a walk through for a reason, you know that's to try to get mental reps, and save our bodies so we feel good for the games and things of that nature so we can really be fast and physical.
Hecker: What are your plans for your day off tomorrow?
"Probably just hang out with the family."
Hecker will have more with Freuchte and his family, who was there to watch practice, on Thursday on WXOW 19.
