The Wisconsin Badgers football team held its annual Family Fun Day and Media Day on Sunday in Camp Randall Stadium.
Attention will turn to drills and conditioning Monday morning, but with families and friends gathered on a sunny afternoon in Madison, first-year head coach Paul Chryst and his team gathered to take their team photo.
Since being hired in December, Chryst has had to wait a long time for his first camp to begin.
"I really am excited to get this thing going and certainly tomorrow starts it," Chryst told reporters Sunday. "Proud of the way the kids worked this summer. I've enjoyed continuing to get to know this team."
Junior offensive lineman Dan Voltz said he's had that "anxious feeling in my stomach now" with camp right around the corner.
"And here it is so I think the whole team's excited," he said.
"This whole summer when we've been working out it's been something we've all been looking forward to because we're back to doing what we love to do," junior cornerback Sojourn Shelton said.
Practice begins at 10:15 a.m. Monday. The Badgers open the season Saturday, September 5 against the University of Alabama. You can watch that game on WXOW News 19.
