Davante Adams was perhaps the biggest standout Saturday night at the Green Bay Packers Family Night inside Lambeau Field. He out-jumped first-round draft pick Damarious Randall to make a one-handed catch early in practice, and put on a show most of the evening for the more than 80,000 fans in attendance.
After 38 catches and three touchdowns as a rookie, Adams is ready to take the next step as a player, and has always enjoyed playing in front of a crowd.
"I went out there and I was looser than I was the first day of training camp just because my body gets going and gets pumped up looking at all those fans out there," Adams said. "Wasn't that great of a route so I had to make up for it. Aaron [Rodgers] put it up there and that's one of those things we talked about trying to fix this year. He's going to try to put the ball up a little bit more for me to go up and try to get it. I told him put that thing up there and if you put it too high for me, I'll do push-ups"
Adams and the Packers open the preseason Thursday against the New England Patriots. You can watch the game on WXOW News 19 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
