Probation for mother who bought heroin, neglected child
La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -
A mother who left her 3-year-old son in the car while she visited a La Crosse drug dealer is sentenced to probation.
Twenty-four-year-old Katie Kaiser pleaded guilty to misdemeanor child neglect Wednesday in La Crosse County Circuit Court. Kaiser was on probation for drug possession when she left her son in the car last April and went into a house to buy heroin. Police spotted the boy in the car and said he was flush and sweating.
The La Crosse Tribune says Judge Todd Bjerke also ordered the Galesville mother to enter drug treatment and enroll in parenting classes as conditions of her probation.
