Nick Clements passed Jimmy Gilster on a late-race restart and then edged him at the finish line to win his eighth feature race of the season Saturday night at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.
The Dean's Satellite Sportsmen Division points leader passed Gilster coming out of turn 2 after a Mark Challet spin brought out the caution with five laps remaining. The two raced side-by-side back to the start-finish line, with Clements edging ahead.
Steve Bachman finished third, Brian Hesselberg fourth and Tony Leis fifth.
In the Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Models, Ty Majeski captured his second straight feature race win, edging Shawn Pfaff and points leader Steve Carlson. Majeski was also the beneficiary of a late-race caution after Cam Dezelske spun with six laps remaining.
Majeski maneuvered around Mike Carlson for the lead and wound up in victory lane for the third time this season.
Mike Carlson finished fourth and Cole Howland fifth.
In the Auto Value Thunderstox feature, Bill Schott started from the second row and led the entire 15-lap race. Points leader Andy Moore finished runner-up, followed by Charles Vian Jr., Kaleb Hardy, and Jordan Myers.
Dan Osthoff won the Auto Value Street Stocks feature, beating Al Bartels, Chris Larson, Taylor Dobbs, and Keith Larson.
The Speedway will wrap up the regular season of Saturday night racing next week before hosting Oktoberfest Race Weekend in early October.
