Badgers' Sheehy adjusts to new role on defense

Posted: Updated:

With the movement of Arthur Goldberg to defensive end this season, the Wisconsin Badgers need someone to fill in the middle of the line.

That man is sophomore Conor Sheehy.

The 6-foot-4-inch, 272-pound Milwaukee native is lighter than your prototypical nose tackle, but is confident he can hold his own.

"We had two really good seniors last year in [Herring Warren] and [Konr Zagzebski], so they really passed a lot of stuff on to us," Sheehy said. "I think definitely as guys graduate, more is expected of you as you get older in this program. I'm just trying to help do my part for the team."

The Badgers open the 2015 season on Saturday, September 5 against the University of Alabama. You can see the game on WXOW News 19.
