MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) The Badgers are ten days away from their season opener against Alabama but their offensive line is a bit of a mess right now.
They're currently down four linemen who, at one point or another this fall, were running with the starting unit.
The team is currently trotting out it's fourth different starting right tackle.
Veterans Tyler Marz and Dan Voltz are potential all-conference players but they've been surrounded by a revolving door of teammates because of a rash of injuries.
""You've got to look at it as a positive thing. The more combinations of linemen you can have, the more prepared you'll be for the season because, like I said, it's unfortunate but guys go down. It's just the reality of the game. Right now, we're kind of preparing for the worst," said offensive lineman Dan Voltz.
"The good thing is Dan and Tyler Marz, both of those guys, have been able to stay healthy and stay consistent. Those are two cornerstones of the offensive line. Those guys are leaders in that room. I'll know they'll be able to have their room ready no matter whoever is playing," said quarterback Joel Stave.
The Badgers take on Alabama September 5 in Arlington, Texas.
It's a game that can be seen on WXOW 19 at 7 PM.
