MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) The Badgers had nine months to look forward to its game against Alabama on the national stage, which makes their 18-point loss that much more difficult to swallow.
There's a lot to clean up this week in practice.
The offense couldn't run the ball and the defense couldn't stop the run against Alabama.
But often the best medicine for a disappointed team is just another game and that's what Wisconsin gets Saturday against Miami of Ohio.
"Just getting back out there running around with my teammates, having fun on Saturday. It's just going to be another game, we'll have another chance to get things rolling," said cornerback Sojourn Shelton.
"The undefeated season is out of the question but, besides that, we have everything we want in front of us. I think that's the attitude the team has. We just have to take it one day at a time, one week at a time and just keep moving forward and I think the team understands that. But I think the morale right now is pretty high," said quarterback Joel Stave.
Saturday's home opener against Miami of Ohio kicks off at 11 AM.
