The high school volleyball season is just past the midway point. Holmen sent another message to the rest of the league Tuesday night.
The Vikings won their 6th straight conference match by beating Tomah in four sets Tuesday night. Holmen remains in a tie with Aquinas for first place in the MVC.
It's a team that's relied on an experienced senior class after finishing below the .500 mark in conference play last season.
"We have nine seniors on our team. So we have a lot of depth. We have a lot of experience. But this year , more than any other year, the girls have been really level-headed going into every single game and every single set. I have no doubt if we're down in the first set going into set number two that we're going to be confident and just play our game," said head coach Sammi Maier.
"Not only experience, but we also mesh together so well. We've played together for a while. I think there's a lot of leadership on this team. Everybody steps in where they need to and that works for our team," said senior Kate Hudson.
Holmen is 19-5 overall this season.
