MADISON, Wis. (WXOW) The Badgers have turned their three non-conference opponents since the opener against Alabama into scrimmage fodder.
They've outscored them 114 to 3.
But now comes the Big Ten season, a much different animal.
The Hawkeyes come to Camp Randall for the first time since 2009.
The Badgers have won the last three battles for the Heartland Trophy. But two of those have been decided by two points or less.
Simply put, Wisconsin is preparing for a slugfest.
"When I think about Big Ten, I think about Wisconsin and Iowa. That's just the physical toughness mentality, style of play, style I grew up with. The style that I feel like I bring," said safety Michael Caputo.
"It's going to be a smash mouth football game. They're going to hit you with the ground game and to compliment that they have the play action pass off if it. So we know it's going to be a full four quarter hard-hitting game and we're excited for it," said cornerback Darius Hillary.
Wisconsin and Iowa are set to kickoff at 11 AM Saturday.
