On Friday evening the identity of this year's Oktoberfest Festmaster was revealed at the Festmasters Ball at the La Crosse Center. Earlier this week, He was introduced at a private ceremony in La Crosse. And he has a special connection with WXOW Television.

The 2015 Festmaster is Chuck Roth. Chuck and his wife LuAnn live in Onalaska. He spent 20 years as the Vice President and General Manager of WXOW and our sister station WQOW in Eau Claire.  In 2008 Chuck moved into a corporate position with Quincy Newspapers, Inc. (QNI), our parent company.

"Its a tremendous honor, its humbling and we're just committed to making sure we do the absolute best job we can and give it everything we have. We look at it as representing Oktoberfest, representing the La Crosse area and being a part of a terrific community celebration and we're going to do the best job we can," said Roth.

"Being a part of that is just such an honor and I'm really looking forward to meeting all the new people and sharing the word about how much we love Oktoberfest and the La Crosse area," said LuAnn. "Its been our home for so many years and we're happy to be here and share that love."

Chuck and Luann have three grown children; Abby, Mary and Daniel. They will celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary on October 17.
