WEST SALEM, Wis. (WXOW) The La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway knows how to throw a season-ending party.
It's no wonder roughly 15,000 fans are expected over the next four days for the Oktoberfest races.
This will be the 46th annual event.
Over 500 drivers in 17 divisions take part including most of your top local racers.
But that's not all.
Oktoberfest weekend features some of the top drivers from all over the Midwest and they want to close the season in style.
"We say 'fest is best.' Each year we try to do something new. We have the top drivers from six states. We have guys here from Wyoming, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan and so on. It really is the place to be for motor sports in the Midwest," said Gregg McKarns the President of Motor Sports Management.
"All the different people that come out here, a lot of the fans in the stands are jam-packed. All these cars make this probably the most exciting time of the year," said 2015 Sportsman Division Champion Nick Clements.
The racing start at 6 PM Thursday and continues through Sunday afternoon with the ARCA Midwest Oktoberfest 200-lap Feature.
