The Green Bay Packers are hoping three of their key defensive players will be healthy enough to return to action Sunday night against the Denver Broncos.
Nick Perry, Morgan Burnett and B.J. Raji all participated in Monday's light practice, but questions still remain as to their status for Week 8's matchup in Denver.
Raji's readiness may be the toughest to gauge. The nose tackle suffered a groin injury against St. Louis in Week 5, a tricky injury for a man working in the trenches.
"My position is a little bit different than most. I'm fighting constantly, 300 pound guys, two of them at times," Raji said. "So it has to do a lot with me being able to anchor and drop my weight and being able to get off blocks."
Raji has 13 tackles and 0.5 sacks in five games this season. Kickoff for Sunday's game is 7:30 from Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
