Woman extradited to Minnesota, charged in connection to Winona shooting homicide

A woman accused of driving a getaway car in a recent homicide case in Winona went before a judge for the first time on Tuesday.

18-year-old Kayla Clay was extradited to Minnesota from Wisconsin. She was charged in Winona County District Court with felony aiding an offender - accomplice after the fact. She also requested a public defender.

Clay was wanted in connection to the October 18 murder of 31-year-old Adam Fort. He was shot and killed in an apparent robbery. 

Two others have been arrested in Wisconsin and Illinois in this case. They are Lonnie Hudson and Reginald Burnett. Law officials are trying to get them both extradited to Minnesota to face their charges.
