Andrew Thompson will be the 4th different quarterback to start a game for the Eagles this season when UW-La Crosse travels to Stevens Point Saturday.
Last week, the Eagles lost John Tackett to a shoulder injury.
Thompson has ample experience. He played some as a true freshman last year. He threw just 5 passes in relief of Tackett last week in the win against Eau Claire.
This is nothing new for UW-L. They went through 4 quarterbacks last year too. So, it's just another day at the office.
"It's been good so far. I've been out a couple of weeks with an injury. It's good to get back and in rhythm with the offense. I think so far this week we've been putting in good work. We should be ready for Saturday," said Thompson.
Eagles and Pointers kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday.
